Icon38 The Bermuda Triangle

One of the mysteries that are still unsolved is that of the Bermuda Triangle. The term first coined by a magazine, the area referred to as the Bermuda Triangle is an area in the Atlantic Ocean. The area roughly forms a triangle from Florida to Puerto Rico then to Bermuda and back to Miami. The area is mysterious as there are claims that many ships and airplanes have disappeared forever, while crossing the area.

With the unexplained disappearances in the area, the Bermuda Triangle holds a mysterious aura to it. There have been many experiments carried out over the area to find any valid reasons for these disappearances, but nothing sure can be said about it. There are various theories that suggest the cause of the disappearances. According to the scientists the disappearances could be a result of natural disturbances such as a whirlpool or lightning. Others believe that the sunken ships are buried deep into the sea and with the Atlantic Ocean being very deep these ships can never be found. Some of the other theories suggest a black hole that sucks airplanes into them and they just disappear. However none of these theories are backed with a logical explanation, thus leaving the mystery unsolved.

There have been reports of lights being seen along the airplanes flying through the area. Still some other reports indicate wakes in the water caused by the presence of hundreds of boats, yet there were no boats.

Some many famous disappearances include the Squadron Flight 19 of the WWII whose wreckage was never found. Other such disappearances include the S.S. Marine Sulpher Queen, Milwaukee’s 440th Airlift Wing, Plane 680, 1965. Along with these there have been some recent disappearances as late as 1999 too. These are DC-3 N407D, 1978, Fighting Tiger 524, 1978, Beech Bonanza, 1981, Grumman Cougar Jet, 1991, Genesis motor Vessel, 1991, Cessna 210, 1999.

Many of the disappearances had valid explanations. Despite the disappearances there are airplanes flying through the area even today. Therefore it is still not clear whether the disappearances are for real or is there a mystery attached to the Bermuda Triangle.

What are your thoughts?
Where do you think things are disappearing to?
Reasonable explanation? Or paranormal you decide!
