Dede Koswara, better known as "tree man," in his home village of Bandung, Java, Indonesia, is suffering from a rare condition. Koswara spent much of his life covered in tree-like warts until he underwent surgery in 2008 to have over 4-pounds of them removed from his body.

Dede's ordeal began when he was 15 and cut his knee in an accident. A small wart developed on his lower leg and spread uncontrollably.His wife of ten years left him as it became impossible for him to support her and their two children.

Wow, I feel sorry for him - seriously... It's kinda suck, but can he even move his fingers or anything?

Reminds me of a spiderman story, except... "he was bitten by a tree".

I remember watching this on The Discovery Channel !!!

Was a shocking story it was at first great to see him have all those warts removed but it was more shocking to see later that a lot of them just grew back.

It's upsetting to see if I remember rightly he enrolled himself as apart of a freak show just so he could support his family financially, so he sold himself and allowed himself to be stared at probably laughed at and mocked at.

It's upsetting this guy must have a lot of hurt and pain deep down where really it's clear to see he's just like any normal caring father wanting to do his best for his children.

i saw stuff about him on TV and stuff i was amazed when i saw it i had no idea what to think just poor guy :(

What a poor poor man I wonder if he is in any pain it looks pretty painful or at least uncomfy to say the least.

That's shocking to see someone with a condition that severe.

It's a shame he had to showcase his condition for others entertainment it's shocking how cruel us humans can be sometimes.
